Summer colds are the worst.  Also, you may not know this about me, but based on panel three I apparently have some sort of strange disease that leaves me with no red blood cells.  I honestly do not know how I am still alive.  I did an interview recently with the Louisville Cartoonist Society that can be found here.  I think that about covers everything.  More witty topical humor is soon to come.

I’ve had a cold all week, so I may not have created this comic with 100% of my mental faculties.  I was going for a, what if the Ninja Turtles were modern teenagers thing with this one.  I feel I may have ripped Kate Beaton off a bit on this one, but by the time I realized it I was almost finished so I kept it.  I’m gonna go back to sleep now.

I had an idea for an online tetris game where you could buy one of the long pieces at any time for ten cents.  Do you realize how much money you’d make off impulse buys?  You couldn’t print it fast enough.  I realize I probably should have saved that one for myself, so just consider this a gift, guy who bought the rights to tetris from the Russian mob.  Well, it’s getting late so I am going to end this before I say anything more embarrassing than usual.

The day google’s search algorithm becomes self aware is the day I move to an island in the middle of nowhere.  I’ve been reading a lot of stuff lately about the process of coloring the old comics before computers so I wanted to try using just solid colors on this one.  I’m not really happy enough to do every comic this way, but I didn’t hate it enough to redo it.  I’ve got a few comics written at this point, so expect fairly regular updates for the next few weeks if school stays at the pace it’s been.

I’ve been looking at a lot of stuff by an artist for DC comics named Dustin Nguyen lately.  He does a lot of watercolors so I felt inspired to break out the traditional media for this one.  You can check out some of his art here http://duss005.deviantart.com/.  Making this comic was fun.  It took me a bit to adjust to the process, but I think things should go smoother when I do it again.

What’s this? A comic? And only a week and a half after the last one none the less. Don’t have much to say about this one other than I’m sorry of the cold emotionless beast I unleashed on the world in the third panel. I was trying to go for sexy face but somehow wound up with soulless abomination, and for this I am sorry.
